ASSESSMENT

Share your training history, goals and injury concerns. We will put you through our Functional Movement Assessment that exposes your strengths and weaknesses.

CUSTOM PLAN

Receive a tailored rehab program based on your areas of concern and opportunities for strength. Don’t have a current strength & conditioning program? We will help you develop a program that works around past history of injury and focuses on longevity to build stronger muscles, tendons and bones.

RETURN 2 SPORT

Following our progressive plan, we aim to get you back stronger than you were pre-injury. We help you overcome your pain and become a more resilient, efficient athlete. Most of our clients keep in touch to help maintain feeling good all year round.

Frequently Asked Questions: Joint Replacements

  • Running with a joint replacement is relatively safe especially when don’t in a progressive manner. We expect our clients to meet the standard criteria for running which is equal and sufficient strength from the operative side to the non-operative side. If running is your goal we want to help!

  • Returning back to sport after a joint replacement is possible! We make sure all of our patients meet the criteria to return to sport which are as follows: no swelling, no pain, full joint range of motion, equal strength compared to the non-operative side, efficient balance and ability to absorb load with quick movements. Each criteria is specific to the sport of choice and will be clearly outlined by your rehab doctor.

  • Yes! Strength training is essential to maintaining strength and mobility of our joints. Your rehab doctor will help develop a progressive strength training program that is appropriate for your currently level of fitness and help you progress it until you are back to where you want to be!

  • All of our rehab specialists are doctorate-level clinicians trained to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries. Most running related injuries can be managed conservatively, however If we believe that there is need for an Orthopedic Surgeon we have a network of doctors that we refer to and can usually get patients in the same week.

  • We treat all running related injuries and commonly see: patellar tendinitis “runner’s knee”, patellofemoral pain, IT Band pain, Achilles tendinitis, Plantar fasciitis, hamstring tendinitiis, quadriceps tendinitis, glute med pain, bursitis, arthritis and many other running related pains.

  • Because we work with athletes and active adults we know that 100% prevention of pain is not likely. However you should be able to prevent major injuries that require full rest by managing training volume, recovering and fueling appropriately as well as regularly implementing strength and conditioning to your training.
